Rouge Bunny Rouge Skin Soul Drops Foundation Essence Review, Swatches & Photos

Hey beauties,

About a month ago, I got a little black bottle in a black packaging from Rouge Bunny Rouge with the name-Foundation Essence. At first, I thought it was a travel size sample of any new foundation of RBR because I didn't get any information or instruction before it's arrival. But when I checked the product thoroughly I found out about this novelty. I had never heard about a foundation essence in my life, it sounded like a some kind of hybrid product and the name Skin Soul Drops was so appealing. I have tried this mysterious product and now it's time to come up with my experience & share it with you all.
What company says...

Pure, simple, versatile: the Foundation Essence SKIN SOUL DROPS creates a demi-matte veil of beautifully adjustable coverage, ideal for all skin types (oily, combination, normal and even dry skin) and created to match a multitude of different natural complexions with just a few shades.
The Foundation Essence blends easily with any moisturiser, serum, dry oil and primer to build your personalised level of coverage. When combining the Foundation Essence with your favourite RBR primer, longevity and wear are automatically extended, allowing for a long-lasting, flawless and totally individual level of coverage.
The Foundation Essence has optimal mixing compatibility due to a complex of Jojoba, Mimosa and Sunflower waxes which closely mimics the texture found naturally in the sebum of the skin. The texture infused with rich, Lecithin-covered, long-lasting pigments and the uniquely processed mica creates a pore-refining, even and slightly “plumped”, refreshed finish.
Before applying the Foundation Essence SKIN SOUL DROPS, make sure to shake the bottle thoroughly for a few seconds. This will evenly disperse the high percentage of pigments for outstandingly precise results.

Ingredients

Shades

There are three shades available at the moment.
‘Miriam’ – fair to light skin
‘Lalla’ – medium skin
‘Yeshe’ – tan skin
The shade I have is ‘Lalla’ (063) that is near to my skin tone but  when I mixed it with my sunscreen and applied it, I surprisingly got my ideal shade. You can mix it with your moisturiser, sunscreen and primer. For oily skin and combination beauties, an oil controlled primer will be ideal to avoid a shining T-zone.

How to use
Before applying the Foundation Essence SKIN SOUL DROPS, make sure to shake the bottle thoroughly for a few seconds. This will evenly disperse the high percentage of pigments for outstandingly precise results.
Then apply your favourite moisturiser, serum or primer to the top of your hand. We recommend our Aqua Primer for a very moisturising effect and an even application. Drop in the Foundation Essence SKIN SOUL DROPS and blend together using your fingertips or a foundation brush to create your preference of flawless, personalised coverage. For more tips, please see our TIPS register.
The coverage reduces the appearance of blemishes and pores to a level defined solely by you: we recommend 1 drop for a sheer, natural coverage of a tinted moisturiser and up to 5 drops for concealer-level coverage.
In the mirror of my own experience

Rouge Bunny Rouge SKIN SOUL DROPS Foundation Essence comes in a black cupboard tube with the signature RBR design. Inside the cupboard tube we get a small mattified glass bottle with a dropper. The dropper makes the application so easy because with you can measure the quantity you want. The packaging is gorgeous and safe for travelling.

The consistency is a bit thick because it has a concentrated formula so I usually need maximum 2 drops, depending on the coverage I want to achieve to cover my entire complexion.
Skin Soul Drop is not really an on-the go foundation. The application takes some time, because you can't apply it like other foundation. At first, you have to decide what kind of coverage you want to achieve with it. If you want to get a sheer coverage only one drop of RBR Foundation Essence is enough while for a more intense coverage you can use up to 4 to 5 drops.I like applying it with my foundation brush to spread it out evenly and a kabuki brush to blend it into the skin properly.

Mixed 2-3 drops of Rouge Bunny Rouge Skin Soul Drops Foundation Essence with my daily sunscreen lotion

It applies easily and evenly, looks very natural on the skin and gives a fresh, healthy and smooth appearance. It feels so lightweight and comfortable on the skin like my second skin. It gives a semi-matte finish that I love. It does cover blemishes, spots and even pimples, hides dark circles and give such a refreshed look to your complexion. The best thing is that you get the effect without having a cakey appearance.
I usually mix 2 drops of Skin Soul Drops with my daily moisturiser or sunscreen and it usually covers almost all blemishes on my skin and gives a smooth and velvety finish. It moisturises the skin well and my skin feels hydrated and luminous.  As you can see in the face swatch that I hardly need a concealer after applying 2-3 drops of Skin Soul Drops with the sunscreen.

With Rouge Bunny Rouge Skin Soul Drops Foundation Essence
I never feel any dryness and tightness even after  a whole day of application. I have used it in the cold season and noticed how long lasting its effect on my skin during this season. I'm waiting for its effect in the summer. I'm sure it'll be as effective with a loose powder as it is now.
